Waiheke Island from horse riding and vineyard tours to fishing, sea kayaking and mountain
biking. It is a place where we love to relax, kick back and have fun. Waiheke is a
sizeable island with a resident population of 7,000 and a summer population of 30,000.
The landscape is a picturesque blend of farmland, forest, beaches, vineyards and olive
groves. The unique sunny climate produces excellent wines, particularly reds, cabernet and
Merlot.
It is easy to get around Waiheke by bus, taxi, or you can can rent a car , Jeep, scooter
or mountain bike.
Fullers Ferries go to Waiheke every hour from the Auckland Ferry Building. This is a
pleasant 35 minutes cruise past the beautiful islands of Rangitoto and Motuhie. |
